I am studying mathematics and CS and am playing a lot with speech recognition. I like the echo dot its possibilities and the API, but I would really like to work with my own systems as well (e.g. send the raw audio to my raspberry/my computer to use my own algorithm and code on it). I am aware, that Amazon did not want that initially. In this article (https://www.theverge.com/2017/7/12/15960596/amazon-alexa-echo-speaker-audio-recordings-developers-data) it is mentioned, that Amazon is offering this possibility, as Google does it (and I was thinking about switching to Google because of that).
Sadly, I did not find a way to stream the full audio (I know, this will never be a published application, but that would be very useful for research and I really do like the amazon microphone system, but the development kit is sadly far too expensive for me)
I did not find a recent question (after this article) about that and hope it is fine to ask that.
Thank you very very much in advance.
