unable to generate refresh token MagicMirror2 RPI3

Hello:)

bit of a newby when it comes to this kind of stuff, so please bare with me... Im trying to make my own Alexa enabled Smart Mirror using MagicMirror2 and the awsome-alexa module. I definitely dont have to use this module if there is a simpler way of doing this.

i have fallowed all the steps correctly to the best of my knowledge and i cant seem to generate the refresh token/config file. i keep getting a

here is a link to the github for the module and the magicmirror itself. i am using the top option to generate the token using the web helper the dev made to make the process easier, it seems the other two options are outdated at much of the documentation and pictures have changed a fair bit.

Note: i am doing all this on the raspberry pi3 b with a full install of the latest raspbian stretch

Note2: i did whitelist the redirect urls aslo

The most common way that developers run into that error is a due to an incorrect value in their scope data. There is more information on scope data here: https://developer.amazon.com/public/solutions/alexa/alexa-voice-service/docs/authorizing-your-alexa-enabled-product-from-a-website#lwa

Can you please verify that you are using the correct productId, and that it matches the value on developer.amazon.com as specified in the documentation that I linked?

I had the same problem but it was because I was using Firefox as the browser. I downloaded Chrome and tried with that and it worked.

Mi Mika,

I'm going to agree with Ryan's reply to you this - the error you're seeing is due to a client-side error in the device credentials. The guide here: https://github.com/alexa/alexa-avs-sample-app/wiki/Raspberry-Pi

is a very clear walkthrough. This step commonly trips people up. I would suggest you please try once more, and follow the example above very closely, and it should work.

yes i ensured the product id is correct, i found it in Alexa>My Products on the developer console.

i triple checked everything, and even created a new product to see if i had done something wrong.

Product name Product ID Amazon ID Security profile Category is it possible the web helper the dev made isnt working properly?Thanks for your reply also!! I really Appreciate your help:)
