I had discovered that Alexa would accept as a trigger for a "TurnOnRequest" a request like "Alexa, open the garage door." (Similarly a TurnOffRequest would be processed for "Alexa, close the garage door.") This stopped working around yesterday with no change in any of our software. Alexa now says something like, "The garage door doesn't support that." But "Alexa, turn on the garage door" will work.
I never saw "open/close" in the documentation so I figured I was using an undocumented feature(?) but it was a useful feature as a few home devices do "open" and "close" (e.g., doors, window blinds, etc.)
I guess my question is: Was this intentional and, if so, is there a path to reversing the decision?
