Does Amazon Underground have to be installed to download an app?
I recently placed my first app on Amazon but anyone trying to install it is unable to unless they install Amazon Underground. It's a free app and only available on Amazon but doesn't meet the requirements for Underground so do they really need to install Underground first? Here's the app
Hi Omar, Thank you for posting your inquiry. In order for users to download apps from Amazon, they will need to either have an Amazon Fire Tablet/Phone, the existing Amazon Appstore Client for Android or, if they are new Android users, they will need to download the Amazon Underground app. This app will allow new users to download all Underground apps and games for free, buy and/or download all non-Underground apps available on the Amazon Appstore, as well as having access to all the physical and digital products available on
Amazon.com. For more information on downloading and installing the Amazon Underground app, you can direct your users here:
Are those non-Underground apps, which are currently live on Amazon Appstore but not eligible for Amazon Underground for some reasons, not available to users who have Amazon Underground installed on their devices?
