I will be attending the Manchester Advanced Dev day - it's a 220 mile 5 hour round trip for me, so to ensure I make the most of the day, I've followed the instructions in the confirmation email and have the following:
A laptop with Node, AWS-CLI for Windows, Atom (new version with added Github) - plus keyboard, mouse and charger of course!
I have setup an AWS account and an Alexa skill and Lambda (I have used the Audio Player Sample Project). I have also setup correct user-level credentials for ASK and DynamoDB, as well as setting up and connecting EchoSim
My primary interest is searching, playing back and controlling audio, particularly for blind people, and possible use of other languages like Welsh to interact with Alexa.
Would it be an idea to go through some of these, or would I simply be duplicating the day in advance?
So, my question would be: apart from doing all the above, how can I best spend this afternoon to ensure I make the best of tomorrow's event? Thanks.
