I have my Echo Show 8 connected by Bluetooth to my PC to I can play music. Every night, I forget to tell Alexa to set the volume to 1. The kids are asleep in bed, I turn my PC off and, as I'm leaving the room, Alexa bellows "NOW DISCONNECTED FROM KIRK DESKTOP!". The mute button on the top should mute EVERYTHING, and there should be an option to turn this off. Also, If I'm watching a movie and my PC does a little bing or beep, Alexa stops the movie and bellows "NOW PLAYING FROM KIRK DESKTOP!" and goes to a black screen saying Kirk Desktop Bluetooth. I have to tell her to play the movie again. Just let this stuff happen in the background, give us an option to disable Bluetooth messages.
Stop Alexa from saying the damn "CONNECTED TO" message every time bluetooth is reestablished. It's loud and annoying. I have stopped using my Echo Plus until I hear there is a way to stop this. I would buy more of these devices, but this stupid annoying thing keeps me from being able to use it.
They will never fix this issue. I just got the run around from customer service for over a week, and in the end they finally admitted there is no way to turn it off and there are no plans to give us that ability. Fine! I demanded and got a refund. There are other smart speakers out there, Bose allows you to turn off audio notifications.
YES. This crap is so annoying! I have my dot connected to tap (my favorite of many speaker combos, incl the large echo) BUT my nocturnal neighbor has some weird WiFi/ Bluetooth disrupting crap so any given night there’s a solid chance I’ll wake up to this obnoxious and uselsss notification. Please get rid of it! We know it’s connected, we set it up this way. If it isn’t then it’ll be obvious when sound isn’t coming from BT!
