I'm new to Alexa, but not new to code, my primary language for the 10 yrs is PHP, but have a history with VC/VB/Perl/ASP and some others.
I'm assuming for my Skill the remote server side I can write in PHP and have it output JSON or XML.
I'm trying to decide if I should go with Python or Node or C#, I have very basic skills in JS so node seems obvious, but not sure as many people say its not suitable for moderately sized skills.
The Skill I have in mind, you would basically Ask Alexa for the status on given day, for example "Alexa Ask SkillName what is due today", the Skill would then feed the query to my server, which would process it with PHP before returning "A, B and C"
I'm assuming this would required a linked account/login, not sure if that helps narrow the language choice now.
Its going to be a learning curve whichever language I go with, so may as well choose the most appropriate.
