Contacts in Google/Gmail have a field called Nickname. This should be accessed by Alexa and used for calling and messaging people. I have some friends with unusual ethnic names. I still like to enter their real full names in my contacts and not use the Americanized versions there. For example, my friend's name is Coskun which has a strange pronunciation. His Americanized nickname is Josh. I should be able to say "Alexa, send a message to Josh" even though I have his contact info set as "Coskun". or "Alexa, call Josh". The simple solution would be to change my contact names but I don't want to do that. I set Coskun's nickname in Google to Josh. Alexa should be able to tap into that and recognize the nickname also.
