I just finished my first update on a published skill, and when I attempt to submit it for certification I get the error message: Error: There was a failure submitting your skill, please try again. After several tries with the same result, I'm trying to see if there is a problem in my skill. The only substantial difference is that I'm now using an alias on the ARN, since I've learned more about the Lambda versioning model. Is there some issue with using an ARN alias (such as PROD) in an updated skill? If that's OK, is there anything else I should look at? Thanks for any suggestions.
Hi Justin - Yes this is still a problem. As I mentioned, this is a recertification of an already published skill. I went through the skill pages carefully to ensure that I haven't missed some required bit of information, and everything is filled in. I've also tried it on different computers and browsers with the same results. The only thing I can see that appears any different is that I'm using an ARN alias from the Lambda function instead of the ARN that points to the $LATEST version. From the Lambda documentation, this should be fine, and it has worked fine as I've tested it. I'm not sure what else to check - the error is pretty vague and implies that the back end might be at fault. I need some more suggestions. -- Don
I've never had a problem, but I've never done an alias like that before.
I'd give it a day and try again. Sometimes their back end system goes wonky over the weekend and doesn't get fixed until they get in on Monday.
