Good day everyone, I was wondering if you could help with our current Alexa skill issue.
Amazon certified and released our Alexa skill last Sunday, our Skill is relatively simple and simply uses "Turn on" and "Turn off" commands with Alexa. The skill worked perfectly for all users until yesterday, where a small number of our users have confirmed the skill was working perfectly but now when they ask Alexa to "Turn on device", instead Alexa states "that command doesn't work on device".
I can confirm that we haven't updated our iOS or Android App, our cloud, our Alexa skill, so how can our skill go from working with all of our users, to suddenly just stop working for some of them with Alexa not recognising the command for device??
They have tried disabling and re-linking the skill, it links perfectly, discovers the device perfectly, but then Alexa doesn't send/recognise the command for some users.
Has Amazon updated something that is affecting a minority of our users, or is something else going on here? I've reached out to Amazon support and an Alexa Engineer, but I have not yet received a response and our skill which was 5 star is beginning to get negative reviews, when we haven't changed or done anything?!?
Please help/advise if at all possible - It would be most appreciated.
