I have a audio in s3 which is in 48k bitrate and hosted in s3.
it plays fine in pc or laptop but the playback quality is very bad when playing in alexa device, i can't hear any words clearly.
i converted the audio using this: -ac 2 -codec:a libmp3lame -b:a 48k -ar 16000
Could i know whats the reason for this?

Can you please let us know what os version you did the encoding on, as well as which versions of ffmpeg and libmp3lame?
Hi. The audio file you provided has a right track which is a mostly inverted version of the left track. This leads to cancellation between the two tracks. The Echo speaker is mono so when it goes to play it the audio is mostly cancelled. A laptop has stereo speakers so the cancellation is less obvious. This likely has to do with the audio source, or possibly a bug in ffmpeg. Let us know if you have further information.
