It seems like a pretty common use case that when incorporating personalization in a skill that you may come to a point in the process where you want to ask for the user's first name. AMAZON.US_FIRST_NAME works great for this, build your intent and go, right? What I'm struggling with is that when I prompt the user for their first name, I know that there is only 1 intent that should fire - the one that handles the first name slot. But with this flat system where any possible intent can fire at any time, there are lots of cases where Alexa is misinterpreting a first name spoken by a user as an utterance from a different intent. I'd like the ability to turn off all other intents at this point in the process to eliminate random intents from firing based on this misinterpretation. I could do this with a session variable that gets set in prep for getting a first name, and then in all the other intents check to make sure that variable <isn't> set (effectively turning off all the other intents), but I've got 60+ intents and that is a royal pain. Is there a better way to do this?
