Assisted Living Environments

I am not a developer. I have a suggestion/idea: has anyone set up specific Echo voice command sequences /skill sets for older people in assisted-living environments? My mom is in a retirement home and it would be great if she could talk to Echo for help and questions specifically for her environment in the care facility. "What time is supper served tonight?"; "What medications do I have scheduled to take this morning?"; What day does the bus take us to Walmart?"; These would be specific questions and responses depending on the facility using the Echo. I guess it would mean someone would have to develop the skills, questions, answers for each care facility or a generic template that the health care industry could use and or customize. . As you can see I know nothing about development or software in general, but the idea of making life easier for older people (and we all will be there one day!) is something to think about.. Thanks

I have a skill like this, but again, Amazon is very strict and so I don't think they are going to pass if for certification. Your best bet would be to hire someone to make it just for your mom and use it personally.

Seems like a good idea. A skill would have to be created for each location because utterances (i.e. Specific Questions) can't be created dynamically. This request will require two skills, one for general info and one for specific medical info. Asking for medication info might require the server to be HIPAA or other stricter requirements. This is a problem for Cards because the cards don't auto delete and probably don't meet HIPAA guidelines used at hospitals. In both cases Amazon is the only one who can help make this happen.

Creating a skill for Q&A is very easy. Creating a system to track medication is intermediate and might not pass certification. I saw a nice skill named, Carly, that tracked glucose but the developer had to take out that feature:

To be considered for listing as an official Alexa Skill, a skill "cannot solicit sensitive customer information, such as ... health information"

I'll keep a lookout for Amazon's developments.
