I have an audio skill that has been working fine for months. Starting from yesterday it stopped working. Tracing its execution, when it sends its first request asking for an MP3 to be played on an Alexa Dot device, the MP3 does not play and the skill gets back an AudioPlayer.PlaybackFailed message with type: MEDIA_ERROR_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE and message: "Device playback error". This is true no matter which of my four Alexa Dot devices I test on. The audio files that should be playing are canned phrases in MP3s that the skill has played 100s of time previously. One example of an MP3 that's currently failing to play is https://snaggy.duckdns.org/phrases/the.test.was.a.success.mp3
Does anyone have any idea why I've started getting these messages? Has something relevant changed recently at the ASK API end? Why has this suddenly stopped working now after months of working fine?
I've checked the snaggy.duckdns.org SSL certificate to make sure it's still valid.
I can play the MP3 URLs through my web browser without any problems. Anyway, Alexa's played them hundreds of times in the past, as I said above.
