Hello, I used a firetv and fire stick GitHub project provided by amazon
I’m using the webapp project and configured it to pull my playlists from YouTube, this was already provided in the GitHub project, I made very little changes to code, I basically added my YouTube channel, YouTube api key, and changed a few colors on UI
on my initial submission it was approved and made live with limited compatibility (not supporting fire stick and fire tv devices), because in one of my playlists I had some test videos that were in Portrait size (recorded from an iPhone)
they explained that in order to be compatible on fire tv and fire stick, the content had to fill at least 50% of the screen andbe centered when scaled
so I just completely removed that playlist and now all videos are full 16:9 aspect ratio and fill the screen
Regarding the centering, I’m not sure what they’re talking about but I don’t think this is an issue, because the GitHub project is amazons own project/code
they also recommended I change the app category and resubmit (they also recommended the correct category to put it in)
so I did that as well and resubmitted
so now the current app version is approved and live
I can see that the category is updated but still it it not compatible with fire stick and fire tv
the review status indicates that functionality test was skipped, when last time they explained the issues in functionality test
I made the changes sever side when I removed the playlists that had the issue they told me about
when I resubmitted the app, I send a ticket via contact form and explained that I made the correction
I also contacted them (made a new ticket) asking them why it’s still not compatible with fire stick and fire tv and I haven’t gotten a reply
what do I need to do?
Should I resubmit the app,
continue to wait?
Is there a better way to contact support?
this is my app
