Because of some certificate changes our skill was unreachable and we didn't notice it for several days, until Amazon send us a warning mail. This is of course the worst scenario you could imagine...
Obviously we do monitor our endpoint, but this monitoring isn't a single source of truth. It doesn't verify whether Amazon can reach our endpoint or not. Needless to say, we don't have resources to monitor our skill manually ;)
So here the question: how could we monitor the reachability of our skill? What is the best practice?
I've found this API: https://developer.amazon.com/de-DE/docs/alexa/smapi/skill-invocation-api.html, but it does seem to require an access token, which, according to another docs page, is only valid for one hour. It also seems to be only generated for linked users, which is also confusing, since not every skill requires account linking... (our doesn't).
Long story short, I'm uncertain whether the skill invocation API is the right way to go.
Do you have any other recommendations?
