I am experiencing issues with audio playback in a web app running in the Silk Browser. I am using Howler.JS for audio playback management. I'm playing back a combination of short audio clips and longer audio tracks in the background (one at a time). The tracks are several minutes in length and none of them are larger than 6.5 megs.
When using Web Audio, I've found that after loading 3-4 audio tracks, eventually, the page will crash and I'll see a "Page Not Responding" screen. Monitoring the performance in DevTools, the heap size seems to creep up until this happens. This problem doesn't happen on other devices (including Android phones).
I switched to the HTML5 audio element because I read that this is a better fit for longer tracks. This seems to perform better - I no longer notice a stutter when starting the audio track. However, pretty consistently after 2-3 playbacks, the Fire TV Stick crashes and reboots.
Is there anywhere I can look on the device for additional diagnostic information? Or are there any suggestions for things I can try to eliminate either of these problems? Thank you for your help!
