I have a small Game published on Google Play Store. Three Weeks ago a user sent me a Mail stating that he switched to a Kindle Fire Tablet and he couldn't find my App in the App Store there and kindly asked me if I could release it on the Amazon App Store.
After I checked the dependencies, I found out that I could release the App with almost no changes and therfore created a Store Page for the Amazon App Store, uploaded the APK and submitted the App.
After a few hours I received a Mail stating that my Submission requires an action - there I found the Info Text:
Your app submission does not meet one or more of our acceptance criteria for some or all targeted devices. Failure reason(s) are listed below:
Your app contains "Name of the App on Google Play". Please provide documentation demonstrating that you have the right to use "Name of the App on Google Play" in metadata images and in-app. The documentation must be either a confirmation letter from the intellectual property rights holder or a copy of the applicable license. If you are submitting an attachment, please send the form and relevant app information to 'amazon-developer-program@amazon.com'.
Alright I thought, cool thing that they scan for Intellectual Property violations and since I am the developer of the App and created all assets aswell as the App itself by myself this shouldn't be a problem.
So I wrote to amazon-developer-program@amazon.com from my developer Email adress (the one you can find on the Play Store Page aswell as in the Impressum of the App) stating, that the submission for the App with APP-ID... is lawful and that it can be released.
Next day I got the response:
Hi,
Documentation demonstrating that you have valid intellectual property rights must be either a confirmation letter from the intellectual property rights holder with a formal signature or a copy of the applicable license agreement. We are unable to accept informal claims of rights.
Best regards,
Amazon Apps Team
Not really the Response I hoped for but okay - so I wrote a confirmation letter to myself stating that I acknowledge the publishing of the App with APP-ID... and that it is lawful. I signed it and Mailed it as a PDF-Document to amazon-developer-program@amazon.com.
As a response I received the same Mail again.
Okay - maybe there went something wrong with connecting the mail to the actual App - since there was the tag [UNVERIFIED SENDER] in the Mails Subject I thought they may need it from the Mail I registrated my Amazon Account on.
So I sent the confirmation letter from there and received the exact same Mail as before...
I rewrote the whole letter two more times but I always get the exact same Mail response and I really start to get frustrated by now...
I am the developer and rightful owner of the App, as well as its contents. I sent them exactly what they asked for - a confirmation letter from the intellectual property rights holder including a formal signature.
And all I get back is the exact same Mail from above! (which I received 4 times by now) and I really don't know what to do anymore since I don't get a comprehensible response or any other help why they reject my letter.
Has anyone of you experienced the same Issue?
And if so please let me know how you got to solving it...
