Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but here goes.
My pet peeve with Amazon HD, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz is the inability to stream directly to an endpoint. With Spotify I registered my NAD 658 DAC as an endpoint then using any spotify interface (phone, web, laptop, etc) I could select my DAC as the output source. Did not require Airplay or Bluetooth.
I could even shutdown the device that started playing the stream and the music continues. I could open spotify on a different device and continue managing the already running stream.
It seems archaic to use phone or laptop as an intermediary between the web and endpoint.
Spotify figured this out, why can't others get on the bandwagon.
I currently use Tidal ($20 a month) and Roon ($120 a year) so I can have the same convenience as Spotify but with high fidelity sound.
While Amazon is significantly less money the lack of convenience means I will likely terminate my trial regardless of savings.
If nothing else Amazon should look into partnering with Roon.
