Progressive response on custom AVS device times does not work if the skill exceeds 8 seconds of time to respond.

My custom AVS device stopped giving progressive respnse for skill taking more than 8 seconds, approximately 2 weeks ago. Progressive response was working fine on the device and we were able to wait for 20 seconds for a skill to process the results while posting SSML content to Alexa every 5 seconds as progressive response. I have tested the skill and lambda with other devices (echo/mobile/test console) and it works fine for progressive response lasting 20 seconds but the AVS device. Could you please let me know if anything has changed in recent weeks that is causing the issue and how to go around it.

Hey according to the tech doc for Progressive Response, it mentions that:

Progressive responses do not change the overall time allowed for a response. When a user invokes a skill, the skill has approximately 8 seconds to return a full response. The skill must finish processing any progressive responses as well as the full response within this time.

Seems to me that AVS device is working as expected and other devices is waiting longer than it should though!
