Hello, I am developing a mobile android app on Google Play store. I am able to launch the Amazon Shopping app from my android application. Here is a link to the Amazon Shopping app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.mShop.android.shopping&hl=en I am able to do this via the following: startActivity(getPackageManager().getLaunchIntentForPackage("com.amazon.mShop.android.shopping")); However, how would it be possible to pass a deep-link parameter so that it lands on a specific product page? Thank you!
Thanks for posting!
Unfortunately, I don't think it would be possible to pass in this metadata when launching a new app. It may be worth simply using the product ASIN address and linking to it which will then ask the user if they would like to open it in a browser or the app (if installed). For your users who do not have the Amazon app installed, they will still be able to open it via browser.
