got my alexa auto today, put it for a test drive, and i'm like. meh. this is it? first of all, it's simply a bluetooth microphone that hooks up to my phone. other than using Amazon's Alexa service it doesn't do anything my iPhone can't already do, other than using amazon services and not apple's. while I have prime, I don't have amazon music, so there's no point in using music. I'm not going to shop on amazon while driving, i'm not playing any games, and it isn't like it can work as a GPS. home automation is already covered by siri too. i also happen to have an android phone so i could go the google route if i wanted, which again has more functionality than alexa.
so really, what are people actually using it for? i feel very underwhelmed with the device and am trying to justify my purchase. is there anyone else out there who is thinking the same?
