Thank you to everyone for your feedback regarding deletion requests. If there are any changes to the process I will make sure to post here in the forums to keep you all updated. We will also continue to post any announcements to the Dashboard when you are logged into the Portal.
You probably didn't reach the tier for products sold.
The change won't show as "Draft" if you are allowed to add more products, I think.
Adding "Not Available" worked for me twice... The products were still classified as "Live" but When I clicked on the product link it showed "Not Available" as the tile. After two weeks the link for the product was not active anymore because I had asked for their deletion. I used "Not Available" as a way to stop people from buying the product until it got deleted.
Well, in order for the "Not Available title to show up, I'd need to submit the design "live" again; not surprisingly, saving the design as a draft with a different title did not change the title of the item I'm trying to withdraw.
It worked for me.
Every time I asked of a deletion of a product it worked.
It takes more than a week.
I don't know if this is ok but you can change the title of the product to "Not Available" (somebody correct me if I'm wrong).
I'm really concerned about the order limitations and shipping time. And IHMO I think we should focus on that.
I'm disappointed that someone from Amazon has not chimed in yet, which reinforces my decision to put any further Merch activity on hold and stick to
Redbubble.com for now.
Redbubble.com is a lot friendlier to artists and offers a *lot* more items, but I prefer to design shirts with imprinting on both sides, typically a small logo on the front and a large image on the back. RedBubble only offers prints on either the front or the back of a clothing item; no free shipping either. I was hopeful that Merch would work out since it allows me to offer reasonable quality $20 shirts with free shipping to Prime members; the same shirt that's $20 to an Amazon Prime member ends up being over $30 (with shipping) through Redbubble.
I've halted any further designing because I can neither afford the wasted space if I make a mistake nor the continued display of the four shirts that should have been taken off the roster. I guess I'll have to wait it out and see if the problems are corrected.
