I have been trying to run ask init and repeatedly encountering with the same error " 'ask' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"..can someone please suggest a work around or a solution to overcome this?
I properly followed all the ask-cli prerequisites and installation process.
I was facing the same problem.
In my case, after npm install -g ask-cli command when I run "ask -h" to check whether my installation is working or not I was getting "not recognized error".
It turned out it was at "C:\Users\my_user\AppData\Roaming\npm\ask" not in the system path.
So, I just added this path to my environment variable.
When I launch the command prompt again, my "ask -h" command was working!
I get the same error when i run 'ask init'. Can you help here?

C:\>ask -v
'ask' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
