I'm thinking about developing a skill used in a biology research environment. It would require using about 1000 biology terms and keywords that are uncommon to Alexa's vocabulary. My thought is to have some sort of "look up" table that associates the keywords with different categories with each category having a different response.
A developer friend of mine said it doesn't work that way though and that 1000 super uncommon terms that aren't in Alexa's vocabulary, most of which are lesser known words like Pseudocoelomate (biology/science verbiage) are not recognizable by Alexa. Alexa would become overloaded with so many unknown words.
I'm wondering if that's true and if it's possible to teach Alexa these words somehow?
