We have an app that works as a menu board at a restaurant that's kept on for weeks at a time. We see that the Amazon randomly kills the application and goes back to the Home Screen. Eventually the device goes to sleep.
When the app get's killed it isn't an out of memory issue because we track available memory in real time. It's highly frustrating because there don't seem to be any published guidelines on when or how the OS can take control back from a long running app. Also, is there any way to turn that off so we can manually kick off any processes that the OS seems to be triggering automatically?
