No matter what Invocation Name I use, I get "I couldn’t find any enabled video skills. Go to the Alexa app to find and enable Video Skills and Devices." I'm using the Alexa Developer Console to build and test my skill. My latest skill id is

I enabled Permissions to retrieve Device address, entered "Alexa, launch { my invocation name} and now I got back: "The skill, Stringify can help you with that. Did you want to enable it?" What is going on?

Are you still encountering issues with your skill? I can see that you are using "youtube" as your invocation name. Please note that according to the documentation, one word invocation names are not allowed. Try changing the name to see if you are able to launch your skill.

I am also getting the same issue. My skill works if I specify the target device name for ex. "Channel up on living room player" works , but "Channel up" does not. Alexa expects the target device name in every command. This was working before with same code.

I had this problem as well, but I was able to fix it.
It manifested after testing a skill I did not create, and then going back and testing my own skill. When trying to invoke my skill, it said "I couldn’t find any enabled video skills. Go to the Alexa app to find and enable Video Skills and Devices."
The solution for me was to disable and re-enable testing for my skill using the blue toggle switch on the testing tab of the Alexa Developer Console. After that, I was able to invoke my skill.
I too am getting this same message after I invoke "open truth for life testing". See attached.

Would really like to get an answer to this. Not having my test environment up and running means I can't change the AMAZON.LITERAL to AMAZON.SearchQuery per Amazon's latest instructions. Which means I can't update my live Alexa app because I can't test on the test app. HELP!

Please see item 5 of the section Invocation Name Requirements:
"5. The invocation name must not contain any of the Alexa skill launch phrases and connecting words. Launch phrase examples include "launch", "ask", "tell", "load", "begin", and "enable". Connecting word examples include "to", "from", "by", "if", "and", "whether". See Understanding How Users Invoke Custom Skills for a complete list of skill launch phrases and connecting words."
As you can see from the page linked above (Understanding How Users Invoke Custom Skills), "for" is a connecting word and therefore should not be used in the invocation name of a skill.

Hi Barry, yes, still facing this problem but narrowing it down a bit. I started from scratch and now I get stable results. I get expected responses when I use my invocation name then wait for a response from my LaunchRequestHandler, proceed with one of my defined intents then I get back what I expect from my IntentHandler. This interaction does indeed show up in my alexa.amazon.com (my alexa app).
If I use my invocation name with one of my intents in a single phrase, I get the dreaded "I couldn’t find any enabled video skills. Go to the Alexa app to find and enable Video Skills and Devices." and that interaction does NOT show up in my alexa.amazon.com
I am using the newest ASK SDK v2 for Java as recommended here. My latest skill id is:
amzn1.ask.skill.d2597d0c-6602-481c-8fba-24e5f1103efe
and lambda arn is: arn:aws:lambda:us-east-1:653481142957:function:icCurrentEventPublisher
