I have been a Amazon customer since 2008, before that I was a major eBay buyer. I think I know what has happened. Over the many years of buying at least $1,000-$1,500+ per month on Amazon, I would not leave feedback every single time as I had packages coming every other day. I would tend to leave the same feedback for items. I actually had a word document with Good to Bad reviews as a base & then add to them for a specific item. Some I did not go into detail. I honestly had no idea I was breaking some Amazon LAW that leaving similar reviews on many items was a No No?
I was so used to eBay as I was a Seller from 2002-2008 & Feedback is cherished at eBay to get it especially as a seller. Also as a buyer, I ALWAYS left feedback for everyone. It is encouraged even if it's the same no matter what. That was my thinking.
So when I received an email from Amazon that basically said "We looked at your feedback & you are banned for life, their are NO Appeals, your Done"..of course paraprhasing slightly, but I was so offended as being accused of being some low life animal with no rights on precious Amazon!! So I kept my account & still have it to this day, but I moved most of my purchases back to eBay & I am very happy spending my money their & going back to Target to shop. Amazon can verify my spending habit easily to see thier loss of revenue from me.
I had a rep tell me to close my current account & open another as to leave reviews again. Uh NO.
I NEVER, EVER left any nasty, vulgar or misleading reviews, EVER. I NEVER Received anything for FREE!! I was always honest. But after reading the Amazon's "Guidlines", the only thing I can see why they banned me is repetative reviews. That has to be it.
So they lost a lot of business they once had, but I said Giants may rise, but they all come tumbling down when the next big thing comes into existence. I have been a very loyal customer & to be treated like a low life is the worst experience a Seller can do to a Buyer. This is my story.
Since I have no way to appeal in any way shape or form as worded in the email. This happened in early 2017 & is now late 2018. I am not renewing my Prime Membership. I will use my Aunt's account if I can't find it on eBay to buy, but their are many more fish in the sea to buy from.
