Questions &observances froma newpersontotheMerchprogram
As a beginner I was wondering out of all of the following which software is the easiest & most straight forward to use for designs on T-shirts in Amazons Merch program Inkscape , Gimp , Vectr or another. I am looking for a free program that I can create templates for and also make a transparent background. . I obviously can’t expect the best , but I would like something that I can learn with but is fairly easy to grasp in the beginning. Preferably a vector based program as I heard they the best for designing T-shirts - is that true or not ?
I have been wondering why there are not other templates for download on Merch’s template download page ? E.g. Inkscape , Vectr as well as others. Mainly because I as well as many others either cannot afford the ones on Merch's website or find them too complicated. The only free template is Gimp which I find far too complicated.
I am not looking for a fancy one just one that will be accepted by Merch.
Here are a list of the main things that I can think of that I want to do in a program.
edit text
3D text
import photos
Wrap text around an object
change the background color
make templates (specifically for Merch)
make the background transparent
as well as any other necessary tasks that you can suggest.
Thanks to everyone Craig
