To give more context, I would like to do this on a Unity3D desktop app on PC.
As I understand it, the way to do this is to use ASK to develop a custom skill, and then implement AVS in my app to call that skill when my user says something like "Hey MyApp"
My question is about what happens around that:
- In this scenario, will the user also be able to call other Alexa Skills from other developers?
- Also, since the user can use "Hey MyApp" as a keyword, will the keyword "Hey Alexa" be disabled or it will still do something?
- And what about the functional requirements of AVS? (https://developer.amazon.com/docs/alexa-voice-service/functional-requirements.html#voice)
Do I really need to implement them even if it's an app and not a device? For example, there is a requirement to have a physical button to stop Alexa.
AVS seems to be focused more on device makers than application developers
