When testing my custom skill, I get inconsistent responses from the alexa simulator.
Given all of the same voice inputs, sometimes, the response for activating a certain intent works properly. Other times, I get the response:
You don't have any Smart Home devices, to get started, go to the Smart Home section of the Alexa App.
I have also gotten the response:
Sorry, I don't know that.
Because my skill is changing lights and music, often, I get stock responses from Alexa instead of my custom intents being triggered, such as the one above, or:
Noise is available with Amazon Music Unlimited. Would you like to learn more?
Is there any way to disable stock amazon responses? Is there a relationship between that and response inconsistency?
I am not using alexa smart home functionality.
