I am trying to upload the first binary for a new game and get the following error: "Failed to upload binary. The package name of the uploaded binary does not match the one in the previous version. Contact us for more information." There is no previous version, this is the very first binary for this app! How can I proceed? I've contacted customer support twice in the last week but am not getting an answer. The app id is M3NUM0MWFSOG4D. Anyone know how to get this working?
I am having a similar issue. Our app was approved for Kindle Fire phones but not Fire tablets because our app has a "Call Us" button that exits the app when clicked on using a tablet. So I created separate Gradle build flavors for Kindle phones and tablets. I go to the developer portal, create an upcoming version of our app, but get an error that says "Failed to upload binary. The package name of the uploaded binary does not match other binaries. Contact us for more information." when I try to upload the binary file for the tablet flavor of our app. Both flavors use the same Android Manifest file which as the same package name as the approved Kindle Fire phone app. Then in my module-level build.gradle file, I defined a unique applicationId for each flavor. The version ID of the new version of our app I am receiving the error message is: M3PTNGUQTAEJ7G Any help on what's causing the problem would be greatly appreciated.
