For a long time, I thought Stop was being handled outside my skill during audio playback. If I say "Alexa, stop" before playing audio, my AMAZON.StopIntent handler is triggered as expected and I hear my goodbye message. If audio is playing when I say "Alexa, stop", the audio stops and there is silence.
I just added Dashbot analytics to my skill and viewed the transcript of my interaction with the skill, however, and it is now possible for me to see the issue. When I say "Alexa, stop" during audio playback, AMAZON.StopIntent isn't getting invoked at all. For some reason, AMAZON.PauseIntent gets invoked instead. I have no idea why that is.
Saying "Alexa, cancel" when audio is streaming works as expected. And saying "Alexa, Pause" works fine as well.
Any insight into this issue or how to resolve it will be much appreciated. Thanks to everyone in advance!
