How to build an RSS Reader

I am wanting to create a RSS Reader that will read the entire post rather than just a few lines. I have used the Flash Update template but it does not always read the entire RSS Feed Post. I have looked around for some information on how to do this but I am not finding much help. Can someone please help point me to a starting point. I am new to this but I am picking up quickly on the coding.

The RSS feed I am wanting to use is the following one.

https://alerts.weather.gov/cap/wwaatmget.php?x=OHC165&y=1

I used as a flash briefing with the flash briefing skill api. It is not reading the entire RSS post. I was wanting to see if I could make it a custom rss reader or even a custom flash briefing and adjust it so that Alexa will read all of it rather than just part of the entire RSS feed posted.

I suggest verify that you have rights to distribute the content first.

From the technical point of view, you can parse xmls to plain text by using node modules such as cheerio module.

I am very new to all of this. I am slowly learning to code. Can you point me in the direction of some kind of a how to type document as to writing the code for a single RSS feed reader?
