I'm still a newbie in the Alexa development world so please bear with me!
I'm writing a skill that needs to store students coursework in a Dynamodb table where you can add, delete and retrieve "pieces of coursework" having the following attributes:
- Name of Coursework
- Date Due
- Form (Online or Physical)
I've got Dynamodb working so it saves the name of my user, but I have no idea how to save objects as described above. The main reason for this, is due to possibly outdated documentation.
For example, current documentation shows the simplicity in creating and linking a ddb by using the following to create a table:
- alexa.dynamoDBTableName = 'courseworkData';
And this to save single items to a key:
- this.attributes['courseworkName'] = name;
Older documentation describing CRUD operations have a completely different approach and I'm not sure if I should be mixing approaches, or I'm just doing something wrong.
Any help would be amazing, I've been scrolling through google searches for months...
