Skill Certification Problems due to Example Phrases Confusion

My Skill has failed certification because my example phrases "should not include the wake word or any relevant launch phrasing."

This is the complete opposite of what it says in the developer console and all the guidance. The feedback email points me to an online guide and a blog post with examples that completely conflict with the words in the email.

Please can someone clarify where the actual rules are for example phrases.

There are other issues I need to address before I can re-submit but I'm reluctant to bother trying again when I've got the easy stuff wrong by simply following the published guides.

It is confusing. From what I understand from my submissions:

* the _FIRST_ item should have the wake word. * the second and third items should not have the wake word.

So I have "Alexa, ask ____ my account balance", "calculate how much I owe", "tell me about my last payment".

Yes, there seems to be a bunch of discrepancies between what the developer console and apps say and what the certification folks evaluate.

It's taken a few submissions to work these oddities out.
