Using the new grouped devices has been great, but with stepSpeaker things are inconsistent and causing frustration
For my smarthome skill I have a TV device example named "main TV" and its display category is 'TV'
It has the powercontroller and stepspeaker capabilities (among others)
If I group the device "main TV" with my living room Alexa, I can say simply say "Alexa, Turn on the TV" and because it grouped it knows which TV to turn on, similar to how lights work, this is great
However when attempting to adjust the volume this doesn't work and I get the error "TV doesn't support that" (Alexa, TV volume up for example).
If I say Alexa, main TV volume up it works as it should
Its frustrating and I have many people think the skills is broken because they can turn on the TV with natural language and Alexa knows which TV corresponds to which room but she suddenly gets confused with volume control.
Additionally, more inconsistencies exist if you turn the TV on with Alexa. After turning the TV on, all volume and playback controls get routed to the TV for some period of time.
The volume controls have the following inconsistent behavior (everything below only applies when commands are being routed to the TV after turning the device on, no device is specified with these commands)
"Alexa, decrease volume by #" works, "Alexa, Increase volume by #" only does it by the volumeStepsDefault quantity
"Alexa, volume Down #" and "Alexa, volume Up #" uses volumeStepsDefault regardless of verbal value specified
"Alexa, turn up the volume by #" and "Alexa, turn down the volume by #" works as it should
Could I get some feedback/clarification or someone to fix these issues?
